A small quilt made from the scraps leftover from my studio curtains that were also made from scraps.... the bits that I probably shouldn't have saved and yet couldn't bring myself to get rid of.
I love how some of the pieces are so small you only really notice them up close, otherwise they disappear into the whole cloth... tiny triangles and squares and random shapes that somehow add up to a larger rectangle.
The back is a whole panel made from a curtain that was left in my apartment when I moved in, unwanted and sun stained and dusty. The stitches bring out a new organic movement in the panel, like little ant trails. What was trash is now new again ✨
The quilt comes with two sapele quilt clips for hanging, so that it can be displayed on either side.
Dimensions: 88 x 72 cm
Materials: linen, cotton and polyester scraps; 100% cotton batting, 100% cotton sewing thread

Care
Care
- All quilts have been pre-washed and should not shrink, distort or discolour while washing at home.
- Avoid direct sunlight as it may cause colours to fade.
- Do not bleach.
- Spot clean stains / dirt with a damp cloth and gentle detergent (put the detergent on the cloth, not the quilt) when needed. Otherwise, if the quilt isn’t visibly dirty, just let it hang outdoors in the sun for a day.
- But the quilt might need a good wash every now and then. I’d recommend hand washing it in the tub over using a washing machine, as a washing machine even on a delicate cycle will be harsher on the material and you’ll want to keep your precious quilt intact for as long as possible!
- To hand wash the quilt, fill the tub about half with warm water (water that isn’t too hot to the touch, you should be able to have your hands in it comfortably), add a lid of gentle detergent and swirl it around, making sure it’s well mixed (the water should get a little bubbly). Then add the quilt to the tub and let it soak for about 10 mins before agitating the water. Try ‘scrunching’ the quilt up then unfurling it a few times to get the detergent on the material. If there are any visible stains, rub them out with your hands but avoid putting detergent directly on the quilt as it could stain the fabric. After an hour or so of soaking, drain the water and refill the tub with warm water to wash the soap away. Repeat this step if the quilt is still soapy. Then gently squeeze as much of the water out as possible by rolling the quilt onto itself like a burrito and hang it outside to dry on a line.
