This little weaving forms part II of my Woven Sketch series from 2021. I used weaving and unpicking as a way to play with form and structure, and to help me discover new ways of creating within the bounds of woven fabric. This one features an overshot pattern that fades away from light to dark.
The warp used here is 30 year old second hand cotton dyed in a deep blue-gray, and the weft is second hand cream cotton. The sides are left unhemmed.
